On September 25, 2015, the United Nations General Assembly approved the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with objectives including eradicating poverty, fighting inequality and injustice, and halting climate change, among others. This agenda will guide global development action until 2030 and lays out a roadmap for achieving a common goal: worldwide sustainable development.

Neologism refers to a newly incorporated word in a language, used to designate a new object or concept that previously did not exist. Some of these words are circumstantial, while others signify shifts in the social, cultural, and economic paradigms of the world around us. Recalling history, words linked to concepts such as suffrage or capitalism have represented new ways of organizing human activity around society.

The COVID pandemic has accelerated many of the changes that were occurring in the labor market. Consumers increasingly demand companies that are more committed to the environment, to the welfare of their workers, to promoting a balance between personal and professional life, and to social causes. It has been socially responsible companies with a clear purpose that have truly emerged strengthened from this situation. 

In July 2019, Decree 153/2019 on the management of soil fertilization and livestock manure was approved. This Decree aims, among other things, to organize and respond to the problem of manure in Catalonia.

Our society is increasingly aware of issues related to equality. As a result, both the administration and workers are demanding more procedures and mechanisms from organizations to guarantee equal treatment and opportunities, and non-discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.

On 4 November, our tax and accounting team organised a webinar dedicated to the new Computerised Invoicing System (SIF) and Verifactu, a session that brought together numerous professionals interested in understanding how this regulation will impact their day-to-day work.

We are entering, as every year, the campaign for the income tax declaration. This campaign to settle our fiscal obligations regarding income and assets for the 2022 financial year began last April 11. There are no changes in the deadline for submitting declarations, which will conclude on June 30 (if the result is to be paid with bank domiciliation, the last day will be June 27).
