This week we had the opportunity to welcome a delegation from the Cheongju City Council (South Korea) to our facilities. Their stay in the region is part of an official trip to discover cutting-edge initiatives in sustainability, and they wanted to see first-hand the model we promote at Grup Carles for the treatment of livestock manure.

Housing is an extremely complex problem, in which everyone participates to some extent and viewpoints vary widely.

All the factors involve clash and interact with each other, such as the labor market, land ownership, construction costs, urban planning, the effectiveness of justice... and there are no magic solutions to solve all these issues.

There is a wide variety of standards and methodologies for calculating the carbon footprint at international level, as is evident from the reports of the European Commission. 

The recent Housing Law introduces personal income tax (IRPF) tax incentives for new rental contracts for primary residences, with the aim of stimulating the supply of affordable prices. These rebates, which can reach up to 90%, came into force on 1 January 2024, but are conditional on the declaration of stressed market areas by the Autonomous Communities, none of which have done so until now.

Digital transformation has become a topic of great relevance in the business world, comparable in importance to the Industrial Revolution in its time. The first one, 1.0, was the period of mechanization, followed by 2.0, which brought the use of electricity, and 3.0, which marked the era of computing. Now, we are living the Industrial Revolution 4.0, known as the digitalization revolution, where digital transformation is the key element. This revolution is changing the way organizations operate and how people live their lives.

Carrying out proper debt collection management is essential for all businesses. This is more evident in exceptional circumstances like the present, where cash flow is the focus of any company and managers and owners realize its importance for business survival. Often, this task becomes laborious for many of them, who have to deal with clients who fail to meet their payment commitments, leading to financial problems for their business. This can affect their growth, as sometimes they must resort to alternative financing sources to continue existing and, in the worst case, can be dragged to closure due to lack of liquidity. For this reason, it is very important that every company has a debt collection policy, implementing methodologies that allow it to be more effective and, consequently, avoid the serious problems that delinquency entails.
