The movement that Grup Carles joins for Earth Hour consists of turning off the lights for one hour on Saturday, March 26, from 20:30 to 21:30. This gesture is an excellent opportunity to reflect on what each of us can do from home to contribute to the fight against climate change. It's an occasion to see how these small efforts, added to those of millions of people of different ages and cultures in more than 10 countries, can make a big difference and can turn an insignificant impact into significant energy savings.

Our society is increasingly aware of issues related to equality. As a result, both the administration and workers are demanding more procedures and mechanisms from organizations to guarantee equal treatment and opportunities, and non-discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.

Every March 5th, World Energy Efficiency Day is celebrated, a date that serves to highlight the current state of global energy issues, while allowing us to reflect on the use of energy and urging us to act accordingly.

On September 25, 2015, the United Nations General Assembly approved the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with objectives including eradicating poverty, fighting inequality and injustice, and halting climate change, among others. Earth Hour is an annual event created by the environmental organization WWF, celebrated worldwide on the last Saturday of March to raise awareness about climate change and promote sustainable actions. This year, on the upcoming Saturday, March 25, for one hour (from 20:30 to 21:30), lights in homes, businesses, and iconic monuments around the world will be turned off to show their commitment to the fight against climate change.
