Digital transformation has become a topic of great relevance in the business world, comparable in importance to the Industrial Revolution in its time. In fact, it is considered the continuation of the history of the industrial revolutions. The first one, 1.0, was the period of mechanization, followed by 2.0, which brought the use of electricity, and 3.0, which marked the era of computing. Now, we are living the Industrial Revolution 4.0, known as the digitalization revolution, where digital transformation is the key element. This revolution is changing the way organizations operate and how people live their lives.

When we talk about environmental assessment, the first thing that often comes to mind is a long and complex administrative process. But this perspective is quite far from reality. Environmental assessment should not just be a document that has to be submitted; it should be a strategic tool to protect our environment and improve those elements that transform the territory.

For many small and medium-sized enterprises, the concept of Net Zero is still associated with large corporations, distant goals and difficult investments. However, in the current context marked by European regulation, sustainable financing criteria and growing demands from customers and supply chains, decarbonisation is already part of the strategic framework of any company, regardless of its size.

Best Available Techniques (BAT) emerge as the most advanced frontier of industrial practice, establishing a new paradigm of environmental responsibility. These techniques represent a firm commitment to reducing emissions and impact on the environment, defining the optimal limits of industrial activities.
