Maintenance technician (instrumentation)

Grup Carles collaborates with one of the main national business groups in the paper sector for the incorporation of a person who is responsible for the installation, maintenance and calibration of the instruments and equipment of the Igualada plant.

What will you do on a day-to-day basis?
- Reporting to the Maintenance Management, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and calibration of the instruments and equipment at the Igualada plant.
- Verification and calibration of sensors, transmitters and their detectors. Use of electromechanical and electronic instruments in measurement.
- Repairs and/or replacement of devices and commissioning of measuring instruments, in accordance with the quality procedures defined with the manufacturer's specifications or the standards in force.
- Collaborate in root cause analysis of repetitive failures to improve the quality of service.
- Document calibrations of instruments belonging to the processes to achieve a record and follow-up of their condition and operation.
- Together with the maintenance manager, participate in the definition and modification of control strategies, as well as participation in projects for the continuous improvement of the installations.
- Supervision and management of external maintenance teams (4-5).

What are we looking for in you?
- Resolute, highly goal-oriented person with good planning skills. Ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of control and automation systems, PLCs, inverters... and ability to interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Previous experience in maintenance team management is highly valued.
- Training in industrial engineering, electronics, automation... or equivalent higher education.
- Experience in installation, maintenance and calibration of measuring instruments (DCS, WIS, QCS) in industrial environments is essential.
- Availability to work one weekend shift per month.
- Indispensable geographical proximity - Igualada or surroundings.
