To mark World Water Day, Grup Carles would like to talk about the importance of managing this vital resource. Today, with the drought situation, the population's concern about the need to manage its use correctly has increased.

The European Parliament and the Council have reached an agreement on the Directive on corporate sustainability due diligence, which represents a significant step forward for the protection of the environment and human rights in the business sector.

CBAM, or Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, is an initiative that applies tariffs to imports based on the carbon emissions associated with the products. This mechanism seeks to prevent carbon leakage by ensuring that imported goods meet the same environmental standards as locally produced goods. 

Recently, the central government approved the ICO guarantees to facilitate the purchase of primary residences for young people under the age of 35 and families with dependent minors. This guarantee will allow financial institutions to grant mortgages of 100% of the purchase price, when the necessary income limit requirements are met.

The recent Housing Law introduces personal income tax (IRPF) tax incentives for new rental contracts for primary residences, with the aim of stimulating the supply of affordable prices. These rebates, which can reach up to 90%, came into force on 1 January 2024, but are conditional on the declaration of stressed market areas by the Autonomous Communities, none of which have done so until now.
