Sustainability as a lever for economic development
Neologism refers to a newly incorporated word in a language, used to designate a new object or concept that previously did not exist. Some of these words are circumstantial, while others signify shifts in the social, cultural, and economic paradigms of the world around us. The benefits of an energy audit in cities
Artificial light brings us many benefits, such as the feeling of safety in the streets, but the disadvantages it entails are greater, both in quantity and in significance.
We are talking about damage to ecosystems. Turtles that become disoriented by artificial light end up on the sand or road, getting run over or devoured by predators, instead of reaching the sea. Nocturnal butterflies (moths) that are distracted by this same light end their life cycle prematurely, failing to complete all stages, such as reproduction, thus reducing their population. This leads to a decrease in crop production, i.e., fewer fruits and seeds (which translates into economic losses, if ecological concerns are not enough).

An innovative model of regulated education for students aged 3 to 6, offering the opportunity to transfer the classroom to the forest so that children can learn in direct contact with nature and the environment.
Alternative plans for earth hour blackout
The movement that Grup Carles joins for Earth Hour consists of turning off the lights for one hour on Saturday, March 26, from 20:30 to 21:30. This gesture is an excellent opportunity to reflect on what each of us can do from home to contribute to the fight against climate change. It's an occasion to see how these small efforts, added to those of millions of people of different ages and cultures in more than 10 countries, can make a big difference and can turn an insignificant impact into significant energy savings.
